GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Upbeat, creative, and responsive with a passion for parks and people? We want you on our team! The Recreation Complex Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily management and operations of a recreation complex. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting operations of the complex, assisting visitors, managing public conduct by enforcing rules and regulations, overseeing seasonal staff at the complex, as well as ensuring the grounds and facility are safe, clean, and maintained properly.
SEASONAL: 10-25 Hours Per Week
DUTIES:
- Open and close the facility and amenities of the facility daily;
- Inspection amenities and facility to ensure safe at all times;
- Grass cutting, leaf blowing, lining fields, sweeping, and mopping as needed.
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms;
- Properly disposing of all trash on the premises;
- Monitoring facility and customer service including facility rentals;
- On site supervision of public on the entire premises including enforcing rules and proper conduct;
- When applicable, oversee seasonal staff;
- Distribute and collect equipment/supplies as needed;
- Serve as the go-to person for Complex rules or for challenging situations/disputes on premises;
- Ensure organization and accuracy in paperwork including but not limited to facility inspection forms, accident/incident reports, work order submissions, etc.;
- Communicates effectively with staff, officials, emergency personnel, Sheriff’s office, and the public;
- Provide routine information on facility policies, procedures, fees, and services;
- Assist with projects needed for upkeep or maintenance;
- Set up and break down for rentals and/or events;
- Attends trainings and conducts staff meetings as needed;
- Perform other related duties as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have a valid driver’s license that is in good standing; high school
diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age. Prefer knowledge and/or experience in facility supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires standing/walking during the assigned shift. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire; valid driver’s license in good standing
