Job Description
Are you a marketing and communications professional with a passion for driving growth and making an impact? Working Landscapes is seeking a Marketing, Communications and Sales Manager to spearhead our sales and marketing initiatives for our food hub. Job Requirements
Food Hub Marketing (40%)

  • Expand Market Reach: Develop and execute marketing strategies designed to boost sales and increase market share across institutional (especially schools), wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels. Highlight climate-friendly and sustainable food production methods, and create demand for climate smart agricultural products. 
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Develop action plans to achieve sales targets, including targeted outreach, promotional campaigns, and market research.
  • Collaborative Strategy Execution: Work closely with the Food Hub Manager and other partners to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and sales goals, optimizing outreach efforts and driving revenue growth.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Understand the needs and perspectives of partners and customers; demonstrate expert understanding of regional policies/networks; travel to meet with customers, stakeholders, and partners to represent Working Landscapes, foster relationships, and drive sales growth.

Organizational Communications (30%)

  • Elevate Our Brand: Implement and lead our communications strategy to enhance brand recognition and credibility; manage websites and social media.
  • Compelling Content Creation: Craft persuasive and engaging content, including digital and print materials, using the voice of the organization
  • Optimize Outreach Efforts: Track and evaluate communications performance, using insights to refine strategies and enhance our ability to connect with partners and customers.
  • Showcase Our Impact: Organize and lead high-impact tours, field trips, and presentations that effectively communicate our work and values

Value Chain Development and General Operations (30%)

  • Strategic Partnership Building: Actively engage with partners and stakeholders to create mutually beneficial collaborations and value-chains that drive food hub sales and enhance our food systems.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Understand the needs and perspectives of customers, partners and stakeholders; demonstrate expert understanding of regional and statewide policies and networks 
  • Reliable and Trusted Communications: Maintain accurate, timely and professional communications
  • Maximize Event Impact: Represent Working Landscapes at key events and conferences, leveraging these opportunities to drive sales, build partnerships, and enhance our organizational profile.
  • Planning for Resilience: Assist in project planning, grant writing and fundraising efforts that build our capacity to advance our mission
  • Volunteer Management: Grow a dedicated network of volunteers to support our programs.

Compensation & Benefits
$61,500 annual salary
