GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Are you an enthusiastic and responsible individual with a passion for parks and people? We want you on our team! The Facility Supervisor performs responsible work overseeing athletic league/program at gym, field, or recreation complex; does related work as required. Supervision is exercised over seasonal personnel when applicable.
SEASONAL: 10-20 Hours Per Week
DUTIES:
- Monitoring facility and customer service;
- Supervise program/athletics at facility including on-site supervision of public;
- Manages scorekeepers, officials, and field/gym usage during athletics, programs, or rentals;
- Distribute and collect equipment/supplies as needed;
- Serve as the go-to person for program/league rules or for challenging situations or disputes;
- Set ups and closes athletic field, gym, and/or concession facility;
- Serve as scorekeeper in the absence of the scorekeeper;
- Ensure accuracy in accident and report forms;
- Collects and organize paperwork;
- Communicates effectively with staff, officials, emergency personnel, and the public;
- Provide routine information on league rules, facility policies & procedures, and services;
- Enforces rules and regulations at local recreation facilities;
- Cleaning duties;
- Open and close facilities as necessary;
- Attend trainings and staff meetings;
- Perform other related duties as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have a valid driver’s license that is in good standing; high school
diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age. Prefer knowledge in athletic leagues and/or experience in facility supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires standing/walking during the assigned shift. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
