GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Upbeat, with great decision-making skills, and responsive with a passion for parks and people? We want you on our team! The Concessions Manager will lead with the operations of the concessions stand and provide a safe and enjoyable experience to all. Recognize and respond effectively to stock and sales. Responsible for the complete operation and administration of the concessions with a direct report to the Operations Manager.
SEASONAL: 10-35 Hours Per Week
RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Must be 18 years of age.
· Must possess basic arithmetic skills.
· Must have basic computer skills in order to operate the register
· Must be honest, dependable and courteous
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Open and close the facility and amenities of the facility daily.
· Enforce all concessions policies, rules and regulations.
· Properly disposing of all trash on the premises.
· Assist with projects needed and upkeep or maintenance.
· Sell concession items in a quick, pleasant, sanitary and orderly manner.
· Learn and apply the proper food preparation techniques.
· Maintain clean and orderly food preparation and eating areas.
· Abide by health department rules.
· Abide by Warren County Parks and Recreation rules, regulations and ordinances.
· Be courteous to all customers.
· Follow proper procedures for money handling and cash register use.
· Notify the Operations Manager when supplies are running low.
· Wear the assigned uniform at all times. Wear gloves when handling food.
· Attend meetings and training as assigned.
· Oversee operations of the Concessions Stand Area.
· Assume authority of the inventory and control of products to ensure consistency and prevent fraud.
· Gain knowledge of the North Carolina Department of Public Health and the Warren County Health Department standards to ensure a safe and sanitary food-handling environment.
· Provide on-going training to subordinate staff in the aforementioned standards.
· Resolve staff disputes and customer complaints in a tactful and mature fashion.
· Market products in an effective and ethical manner.
· Perform other related duties as required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
· Be knowledgeable of phone locations and the telephone numbers for the police, fire and paramedics
· Perform related work as required by the Recreation Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: Individuals 18 years or older who have experience working in food service.
· Must be a certified food handler or a willingness to obtain within 6 months
· Skills: Cash handling, inventory control, customer service, and employee relations. Prior supervisory experience a plus.
· Competencies: The ability to learn new skills and be able to work independently along with ability to work with others.
· Must pass a background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires standing/walking during the assigned shift. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
CPR/First Aid certification and AED Course within 30 days of hire.
